For those hoping for a snow prediction, we wouldn't recommend getting your hopes up.

Some areas of the UK may be covered by up to five inches of snow when a -2C cold period arrives next week.

This follows a wet February that was one of the wettest on record – and also the warmest for both England and Wales.
