BUCKINGHAM – The cold, wet weather on Friday at Central Bucks East was not ideal for the long jump competition. But Souderton’s Destini Smith knew the keys to success. “I think staying warm right before I jump is good,” she said. “And just keeping form, not getting distracted due to the weather.” Smith came […]
LOWER GWYNEDD — Last season, it was a nice consolation but this year, it was expected. With a talented veteran core returning, the Springfield Township girls' lacrosse team expected to compete for an SOL American Conference title. After a quarter on Wednesday night, their title chances were in a little bit of trouble, but only […]
Small details can accumulate and that’s definitely been the case for Lower Moreland this season. After winning one game in 2022 and two games in 2023, the Lions concentrated on the little things this season and won eight games, the most in a single season since the program began in 1978.
In the top of the eighth, Quakertown’s Cooper Natisin came through on offense. After Cole Reich’s two-out double, Natisin hit an RBI single to right field. He then pitched a perfect bottom of the eighth to secure a 1-0 Suburban One League Liberty Division win over Wissahickon at Wissahickon High School.
UPPER DUBLIN – Last season, the Upper Dublin girls lacrosse team came up just short against Upper Moreland. Monday afternoon, in another close battle with the Golden Bears, the Cardinals made sure there would be a different outcome this time. “The last timeout we had our senior Paige (Dinkel), stopped us and was like […]

TOWAMENCIN — Another win meant another opportunity for the Plymouth Whitemarsh boys lacrosse team to play their celebratory anthem, Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” “I don’t know, she just kind of gets us excited,” Colonials sophomore midfielder Jack Cooper said. “That's pretty much it.” It was definitely not a Nashville party on […]
Baseball Wissahickon 3, Upper Dublin 2 (9): Josh Palutis hit a walk-off two-out double in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday to give Wissahickon its sixth consecutive victory. Upper Dublin took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a Nate Cairnes RBI double and Oliver Gill’s RBI sacrifice fly. The Trojans […]
Rian Reed hit two home runs and pitched a complete game as Plymouth Whitemarsh defeated Quakertown and created a tie between the two teams atop the SOL Liberty standings.
La Salle made five errors and gave up runs on two wild pitches in a 5-2 loss to Neumann-Goretti. This makes the two teams tied at the top of the Philadelphia Catholic League standings with four games left.
