While Michelle Wu was inside for the annual holiday breakfast, North End restaurateurs were outside protesting decisions the mayor has made that they say are hurting their businesses and the neighborhood.
“We all agree: We want the outdoor dining spaces to return. It’s something that is necessary,” a North End restaurant employee said to the Herald as the neighborhood deals with restricted outdoor dining for the second year in a row.
North End restaurateurs are accusing Mayor Michelle Wu of showing them no love by using funds they paid to provide outdoor dining in 2022 to purchase an electric street sweeper.
