Due to a raid on his roster, Porter was forced to make significant changes to his Starting XI from the team that lost 2-1 to reigning Supporters Shield winners FC Cincinnati at Gillette on March 17.

Revolution first-year field manager Caleb Porter has coached in Champions Cup tournament matches in Costa Rica during his time with the Portland Timbers and Columbus Crew in MLS. Porter knows from experience that the Los Leones’ fans will turn out in large numbers and make a lot of noise.

Atlanta United FC's dynamic attacker Giorgos Giakoumakis scored three goals, becoming the second MLS player to score a hat trick against the Revolution this season. D.C. United striker Christian Benteke scored three goals in the season opener on Feb. 24, securing a 3-1 win.
