LOWELL — The Div. 2 girls’ basketball final on Sunday at the Tsongas Center was intense, resembling a boxing match at times. However, a talented newcomer from Medfield made the difference. Naya Annigeri scored 16 points to lead the Warriors to a 48-42 victory over Worcester South, wrapping up a dominant season for Medfield.
Hoosac Valley star Taylor Garabedian said, “We have played some tough games. We are good at keeping up the pace and staying positive. We have experience in this situation, and we know how to handle it.”
