SpaceX launched Eutelsat’s latest geostationary satellite March 30 on a trip due to take around half a year to a geostationary orbit slot over Africa and Eurasia. 

Geostationary satellite operator Intelsat has bought at least five times more capacity from Eutelsat’s OneWeb low Earth orbit constellation to strengthen its multi-orbit broadband strategy.

The Eutelsat 36D satellite made by Airbus landed in Sanford, Florida, on March 11 before a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch planned at the nearby Kennedy Space Center later this month.
