LGBTQ people are subject to all types of discrimination including workplace/employment discrimination, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, housing discrimination and more. It is legal in many countries and US States to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people, simply for being who they are. US Federal Courts and the Supreme Court are reviewing specific discrimination types and to determine if Title vii of the civil rights act of 1964 (“sex discrimination”) applies in these cases.
