President Vladimir Putin stated that authorities have arrested 11 individuals after gunmen attacked a concert hall in Moscow, resulting in a gruesome attack that killed at least 133 people. Russia’s Investigative Committee said four of those arrested were directly involved in the attack that caused the shopping mall and music venue to burn with a collapsed roof. Russian President Vladimir Putin implied on Saturday that Ukraine was connected to the attack, despite the Islamic State group claiming responsibility. Ukraine has vehemently denied any involvement and accused Moscow of using the attack to fuel fervor in its war effort. A U.S. intelligence official told The Associated Press that U.S. agencies had confirmed that IS’s Afghanistan affiliate was responsible.
