Donald Trump will lead the GOP in a third consecutive presidential election after securing the nomination on Tuesday. With victories in Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington state, Trump exceeded the 1,215-delegate threshold required to become the presumptive Republican nominee. He will formally accept the nomination at the Republican National Convention in July, by which time he could potentially be in the extraordinary position of being both a presidential candidate and a convicted felon. Trump has been charged in four separate criminal investigations.
