An early spring nor’easter is hitting the Northeast with intense snow, rain, and strong winds. Some northern areas could receive up to two feet of snow. More than 680,000 homes and businesses from West Virginia to Maine were without power on Thursday morning. Police reported the death of a woman in a New York City suburb on Wednesday evening due to a falling tree. Numerous flights to and from area airports have been canceled or delayed, and schools and government offices are closed in many towns. This storm follows cleanup efforts in several states that were affected by tornadoes and severe weather earlier in the week, which led to at least two deaths.
