There are many excellent video games, but only a few are seen as important enough to be included in the World Video Game Hall of Fame. Since 2015, this hall has showcased games that meet four key criteria—iconic status, lasting popularity, global reach, and cultural impact. Five new inductees have officially joined its 10th class, and will be part of the World Video Game Hall of Fame’s permanent exhibit. Let's meet the 2024 winners:Resident Evil
While anyone can nominate a game for Hall of Fame consideration, the Strong Museum selects its yearly inductees after consulting with a wide range of video game journalists, scholars, and industry experts. This year’s potential finalists also included impressive games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater , but ultimately the above five were considered ready for Hall of Fame status.
