Mods of Lucy, The Ghoul, gun noises, and signs from the Fallout TV program are being added to Fallout 4 by devoted fans.
Amazon’s Fallout TV series, which is based on the post-apocalyptic world from the video games series, was released last week and the first season has quickly gained praise from both critics and fans.
The show’s success has led to an increase in sales of Fallout 4 in Europe this week, while Fallout 76 reached its highest number of players on Steam.
As expected, fans have created numerous mods to transform Fallout 4 to resemble the TV series, including the characters Lucy and The Ghoul, as well as amusing signs.
Some of the mods involve adding the characters of Ella Purnell’s Lucy MacLean and Walter Goggins as Cooper Howard/The Ghoul (both in human and ghoul form) to Fallout 4.
A mod allows Lucy’s backpack from the series to be included in the game by changing the number on the back from 111 to Lucy’s 33.
Another mod replaces the introduction in Fallout 4 with the teaser trailer of the TV series, and another mod changes the sound of the 10mm semi-automatic gun to match the one in the show.
One mod even alters the signs in the game to ones that are inspired by the series, including one with Howard giving the thumbs up and the caption: ‘Plan for the future.’
Bethesda games like Fallout and Skyrim have large modding communities, so it is not surprising that they are hard at work now that the Fallout TV series has gained popularity.
Their dedication and skill are commendable, and more mods will likely appear on NexusMods (where all of these mods were uploaded) as the franchise continues to grow.
