A report came in on Friday morning about an earthquake in New Jersey, and the shaking was felt across eastern Pennsylvania and other areas, including the Lehigh Valley.
The U.S. Geological Survey stated that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake happened northeast of Lebanon, New Jersey, in Hunterdon County just after 10:20 a.m. Friday. This is about 50 miles from Allentown.
People in the Lehigh Valley and the Philadelphia area could feel the shaking.
