Tributes have been paid by family and friends to a former beauty queen who has died aged 35.
Jade Leigh Hunt, was described as ‘the purest of souls’ by her family who have set up a JustGiving page following her death on Saturday.
A message on the page reads: ‘On Saturday 30th March 2024 our family was shattered with the heartbreaking news of Jade’s sudden passing.
‘Jade had the purest of souls, she loved deeply and was loved immeasurably.
‘Her infectious laugh and big beautiful smile that would light up any room, a beautiful, beautiful girl.
‘Jade left an imprint on everyone’s hearts the moment she would walk in to their life. Jade was full of fun, laughter, courage, mischief, with a great and witty sense of humour and always up for doing something adventurous.
‘As a family we thought it would be special to create this platform to allow Jade’s friends, family and anyone who has had the privilege of crossing paths with Jade to share your memories and love for Jade.
‘This will give us great comfort knowing even more so, how loved she was. If you feel you would like to leave a donation, please feel free, we will be very grateful.
‘We will ensure this goes towards giving our beautiful Jade, the best send off that she deserves.’
The 35-year-old from Bathgate, West Lothian, was crowned Miss Galaxy Scotland in 2012.
She flew to Orlando following her win to compete in Miss Galaxy where she wowed the judges and scooped a top ten place in the competition.
Jade also ran a teeth whitening company and worked in the past as a support worker providing care for adults with mental and physical disabilities.
Until recently she was a company director with the advertising firm Mayhem Agency UK.
The family’s fundraising target of £800 has already been surpassed and touching tributes have been left to her on the page.
Richy Jones wrote: ‘Jade was infectious in personality. Beautiful inside and out…I am broken by this.’
Bex commented: ‘Such sad news to hear, have such fond and funny memories of you from primary & high school. Still talk about us winning the 3 legged race in P7. You will be truly missed.’
Bryan Shaw added: ‘Jade was simply the loveliest person I’ve met, always a great person to be around and was truly there for anyone. A lovely, genuine beautiful soul. She will be missed.’
