Posts on display some of the comical ways Football Manager 2024 has pranked its players this year, ranging from disqualifying a team from the Champions League to granting a player hundreds of millions to use on new players. An almost 1,000 upvoted Reddit post titled ‘Almost collapsed. Well played, SI [Sports Interactive], well played,’ shares a message that likely made the player's heart skip a beat.
The message stated that their club, Solihull Moors, ‘face disqualification from the UEFA Champions League for fielding an ineligible player.’
Many others reported receiving the same April Fool’s message in the game, only realizing it was a joke later.
