A man has been officially charged with the murder of a 48-year-old woman in Leeds.
The woman was discovered deceased by emergency teams who were called to a residence in Tempest Road, Leeds, on Saturday.
George Chalmers, 53, was taken into custody and charged on Monday.
Investigators previously stated that the woman’s death seemed to be an 'isolated' occurrence and that they are not seeking any other suspects.
The cause of the woman's death could not be immediately determined.
Chalmers has been ordered to remain in custody until a hearing at Leeds Magistrates Court later in the day.
