“Cannabis” is the main focus of the Trevose Horticultural Society monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road, Bensalem, PA.
In a presentation using Power Point, the guest speaker, Carla Garzon PhD, will talk about the scientific view of Cannabis and hemp. She covers a wide range of topics including their ancient and recent history and current understanding of their pharmacology, medical and industrial uses. Garzon concentrates on managing indoor crops and identifying plant diseases in her research.
Dr Garzon serves as the K.H. Littlefield Endowed Professor of Plant Science in the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture at Delaware Valley University. Her focus is creating a controlled environment for ornamental, vegetable and medicinal herbs.
