Manchester United hero Roy Keane has praised the attractive style of play from bitter rivals Liverpool, expressing his 'love' for it. Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Liverpool won 2-1 against Brighton on Sunday. but Brighton took a surprising lead after two minutes with a great goal from former United player Danny Welbeck.
Liverpool turned the game around at Anfield, though, with goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah to go back to the top of the Premier League.
Keane was very impressed by Liverpool’s performance, making comments that are likely to annoy some United fans due to the strong rivalry between the clubs.
‘He is a clever footballer (Alexis Mac Allister), I’ll tell you that – I'm usually impressed with him and his decision making,’ Keane told Sky Sports.
‘And again, when you speed things up in the final third. He gets it here, the execution, the weight of the pass, the first touch from Mohamed Salah – beautiful. This is attractive football to me, I love watching it.’
Klopp was very pleased after his team's victory and praised the 'genius' moment that gave the Reds all three points.
‘[It was] an incredible ball [from Dominik Szoboszlai]. It is the creativity and the quality, seeing that,’ Klopp said.
‘He sees Macca, his first touch is incredible and then he sees Mo. How wasteful we were at all the other moments it was good we had this genius football moment to finish the game off.
‘Brighton have incredible quality. That is the measure I have for how good we were today because I really respect them.’
