People going to Faro for a holiday, Portugal are experiencing very long waits due to a shortage of staff.
Travelers are experiencing three-hour flight delays because the e-Gates are not working.
Posts on social media indicate that some people have fainted while waiting to travel.
Yvette Hughes, a Jet2 customer, expressed frustration over the long security queues at Faro Airport, mentioning swollen knees, someone passing out, and crying children.
She also complained about not getting any information from anyone.
Others have also reported not receiving any updates.
Jet2 responded to the tweet with an apology and a promise to take quick action.
They asked the customer to send a direct message for an update.
However, Yvette later said she still had not received any update after four hours of waiting in line.
Jet2 explained that there were not enough staff at Faro Airport, causing the long lines, and apologized for the inconvenience.
This problem is because Faro Airport doesn't have enough immigration staff.
This incident adds to the travel issues faced by UK residents, such as 45 miles of traffic on the M6 motorway during Easter weekend. Around two million British people were planning to travel this weekend, and airports in Bristol, Edinburgh, and Newcastle were expecting record numbers of passengers.
This statement reflects the frustration and chaos at the airport due to long lines and lack of information.
