Lauren Goodger’s ups and downs were shown in the 2010s on The Only Way Is Essex program, but her life after the show was filled with challenges.
In 2022, the 37-year-old shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of her second daughter, Lorena, whom she had with ex Charles Drury.
To make matters worse, he was accused of assaulting her at the funeral and being 'engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour,' according to the Metropolitan Police.
The 26-year-old was found not guilty of assaulting her last month after Lauren withdrew her support for the prosecution.
After taking time off to recover, the reality star opened up about her mental health following the traumatic loss, saying she felt like she didn't want to be alive.
'You’ll never get over it, you never move on but you learn to live and heal,' she told MailOnline.
Understandably, the loss had a negative impact on the TV star's mental health and she confessed: 'You just don’t want to be here anymore.
'The only thing that kept me going was being a mum to Larose, and that’s why I’m strong and I can put on a brave face.'
Larose is her now two-year-old daughter whom she also has with Charles, who the star has called her 'whole world'.
She continued: 'I can’t explain, you would never be able to tell someone the feeling of losing your own child, no one should ever experience that. It changes you as a person because it’s something missing, it’s a heartache feeling every day.'
The entire year was marked by tragedies as ex-boyfriend Jake McLean later died in a car crash while on a Turkish holiday.
She previously shared that the stress led her to lose almost three stone in weight, stating she simply didn't eat.
'Posting on Instagram at the time she said: ‘Inside I am broken and it’s not getting easier it’s getting harder. Feel like I’ve had [to] deal with so much and as much as people are there for you, I’m so alone.'
'Nothing will change what I’ve been through.'
