Dwayne Johnson is enjoying his life to the fullest as a WWE villain, and he raised the intensity by angrily ranting at producers.
In recently released video after Monday Night Raw ended earlier this week, The Rock continued to aggressively attack fierce rival Cody Rhodes and kept going even after bosses informed him the broadcast was over.
In the intense video shared by Dwayne on X and social media, a producer can be heard telling him and Cody that they’re off air as the storyline rivalry took a very realistic twist.
‘Forget that,’ he shouted back. ‘Shut your mouth. Clear my a**. How did that feel? Did that feel good? What, just because the show is over? That doesn’t mean this s**t stops. The Rock doesn’t give a f**k.’
He started to whip the American Nightmare with his weight belt, letting his blood drip onto it as he continued ranting at people behind the camera.
‘What? Show is over and it stops? F**k that. Your script, f**k that,’ he shouted before walking away from the scene of the beatdown.
In his caption for the video, The Rock insisted the idea of constraints in wrestling ‘f***ing p***ed’ him off.
He wrote: ‘I hate constraints and bullshit rules – and just because some @wwe producer says, “clear” (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn’t mean I just stop whatever I’m doing and tell everyone great job.
‘It f***ing p***ed me off. I can’t shut my high emotions off just because a script says we’re done.
‘But even in this crazy f***ing world of pro wrestling – this is a microcosm of a larger issue I have with individuals, corporations & governments – telling us what we can or can’t do. You have to do it this way, you have to say it that way, or you’ll get cancelled.
‘They create fear if you have a different perspective and don’t live by their rules.
It’s their way, or no way. F**k that. I say it the way I want to say it. I do it the way I want to do it.
‘My choice. Our choice. F**k your “clear”.’
He signed off the post as the Final Boss.
On Friday Night SmackDown, which started broadcasting just hours after he shared the video, it was confirmed that Rock’s cousin Roman Reigns, the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, had ordered the ‘hit’.
Paul Heyman revealed it was carried out ‘by order of the Tribal Chief’, with WrestleMania 40 fast approaching next weekend.
On night one, Rock and Roman team up against Cody and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, while Roman will battle Cody the following night with his title on the line.
WWE WrestleMania 40 comes to Philadelphia on April 6 and 7. Tune in both nights at midnight on the WWE Network.
