Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House communications director under former President Trump, stated that more Republicans don't openly oppose Trump because they are afraid of receiving death threats.
He mentioned to Nicolle that the main reason is probably the fear of death threats. Scaramucci shared his thoughts with MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace during an appearance on Thursday's “Deadline: White House” show, when she asked him about the challenges faced by those who have interacted with Trump and find it difficult to speak out about the danger he poses, as highlighted by Mediaite.
He also expressed that generals may hesitate due to their respect for the Constitution and reluctance to involve military leadership in politics.
Last week, Scaramucci also joked that he and other former Trump administration officials are in a “Trump recovery unit.” On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” he mentioned a “Trump recovery unit” which includes other former officials like Mark Esper and Mark Milley.
Scaramucci was responding to a question from host Joe Scarborough about why he believes Trump is “such a danger to the Republic if he’s reelected.”
When speaking with Wallace, he mentioned that Trump “will be way more organized this time.”
He explained that the failed insurrection was due to Trump's lack of organizational and executive management skills, but warned that the situation could be different in the future if Trump were to win, which he predicts won't happen.
