If you’re searching for a game to play during the Easter weekend, CD Projekt has launched a no-cost trial version of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
Cyberpunk 2077 may have been released with issues in 2020, but it’s now significantly improved due to updates and DLC expansion The Phantom Liberty.
If you haven’t tried CD Projekt’s dystopian sci-fi role-playing game yet, the company is now providing the perfect chance with a free trial on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The trial period goes from Thursday March 28 to Monday April 1 at 7am GMT in the UK. During the trial, you can play for up to five hours, and your progress will carry over to the full game if you decide to buy it later.
As expected, the trial only includes the base game, so anyone hoping for a sneak peek at the Phantom Liberty expansion is out of luck. You can only play the trial once, and your account will be locked after the five-hour slot is over.
For both PlayStation and Xbox users, you don’t require an online subscription to download the trial, so there's no reason not to give it a go.
After the Phantom Liberty expansion last year, CD Projekt has now focused most of its resources on The Witcher 4, known as Polaris, which is scheduled to start production later this year. A Witcher spin-off game, titled Project Sirius, is also in progress.
The company is also making minor updates to Cyberpunk 2077 and is in the planning stage for the next part of the series, known as Orion.
If you thought CD Projekt didn't have enough to handle, it’s also developing a new IP called Hadar. None of these have a release date yet, so they won't be available for a while.
