Race Across The World is returning for season four very soon.
Branded the ‘best thing on TV’ by viewers, the beloved reality programme will begin on BBC One in its usual Wednesday slot on April 10.
And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve now got a first look at our cast.
This year's teams will include two mother and daughter duos, Brydie and Sharon, and Eugenie and Isabel; best friends Alfie and Owen; married couple Stephen and Viv, and brother-sister pair Betty and James.
This year's route will be across Eastern Asia, as the five teams will battle it out over a huge distance of 15,000 kilometres.
The release teases: ‘From northernmost Japan, they will cross six seas and eight borders, skirting the path of the volcanic ring of fire – the most geologically unstable region on the planet to reach the finish line in Lombok, an idyllic Indonesian island paradise.’
For the uninitiated, the competition sees civilians leave behind their smartphones, internet access and bank cards, for the trip of a lifetime.
They must push themselves to physical and mental limits as they travel between two destinations thousands of miles apart, with as little as possible.
One by one, the teams are eliminated and only one team will emerge victorious as they all vie to be first, and claim the cash prize of £20,000.
Previous seasons have seen the pairs travel from London to Singapore, Mexico City to Ushuaia, Argentina, and from one end of Canada to the other.
Race Across the World season 4 comes after the BBC aired its first celebrity spin-off, which saw stars backpacking from Marrakesh, Morocco to Tromso, Norway.
It starred McFly’s Harry Judd and his mum Emma, All Saints singer Melanie Blatt and her mum Helene, F1 ace Billy Monger and his sister Bonnie, and Good Morning Britain’s Alex Beresford and his dad Noel, the latter of whom emerged victorious.
Season three of Race Across The World, which saw five teams travel all the way from Vancouver, British Columbia to St John’s in Newfoundland and Labrador on the other side of Canada, saw best friends Tricia and Cathie take home the cash prize.
But who will be following in their footsteps this year?
Race Across The World returns Wednesday 10th April at 9pm on BBC One.
