EE is enticing its customers with significant savings on Xbox and PlayStation console packages, to coincide with the release of Warzone Mobile.
It’s fair to say that Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile was highly anticipated, especially after Activision disclosed in October that 45 million fans had pre-registered to play it. The first-person online battle royale was launched on March 21 on Android and iOS. EE, Warzone Mobile’s official mobile partner, has listed two bundles on its website for.
Xbox Xbox and PlayStation.
The bundles include either an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, along with a Backbone One controller for mobile phones, as well as either Xbox’s Game Pass or PlayStation’s PS Plus Extra for 24 months, plus additional in-game Warzone content.
EE states that the bundles can save up to £550, but this is applicable only to existing EE customers.
The Xbox gaming bundle is priced at £31 per month for 24 months (£744 total) with a £20 upfront charge. It’s exclusively available to EE Pay Monthly customers and includes:
- Xbox Series X.
- Backbone One Xbox Edition (USBC and Lightning versions available).
- 24 months Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
- 24 months EE Gamer’s Mobile Data Pass and Video Mobile Data Pass.
- Exclusive in-game content for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile with Backbone One purchase.
- Bonus in-game content – calling card, charm, and emblem featuring the Kawaii Killers, available only via EE.
The PlayStation 5 bundle, also priced at £31 per month for 24 months, includes:
- PlayStation 5 Slim Disc drive.
- Backbone One PlayStation Edition (USBC and Lightning versions available).
- 24 months PlayStation Plus Extra.
- 24 months EE Gamer’s Mobile Data Pass and Video Mobile Data Pass.
- Exclusive in-game content with Backbone One purchase* and in-game content – calling card, charm, and emblem featuring the Kawaii Killers, available only via EE.
EE claims these bundles offer significant savings for its customers, with the Xbox bundle offering savings of £551 and the PlayStation version £531.
The free-to-play Call Of Duty: Warzone is a major success on consoles and PC, and it's likely to garner similar popularity on the mobile platform.
It may seem unusual to promote a new mobile game by encouraging the purchase of a console, but nevertheless, it's a great deal.
