A 7-year-old boy died and four others were hurt in a crash on the M4.
The collision between a fully loaded lorry carrying hay bales and a small car happened between junctions 18 and 19, east of Bristol, at 1pm yesterday.
The boy was declared deceased at the scene.
Four other individuals in the car were taken to the hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
Two air ambulances and emergency services were summoned at the time of the incident.
While two individuals are still in the hospital, the other two have been released.
Avon and Somerset Police conveyed in a statement: ‘Our thoughts are with his family and they continue to be supported by a specially-trained officer.
‘No one has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the collision.’
