Comcast is currently expanding in East Nottingham Township, Chester County. They plan to bring over 2,500 more East Nottingham residents and businesses into Comcast’s services.
Dan Bonelli, senior vice president of Comcast’s Freedom Region, which covers East Nottingham and other parts of southeastern Pennsylvania, stated that they are dedicated to investing in and expanding their network to ensure that more Pennsylvania residents and businesses have the connectivity they need to succeed. They are proud to offer fast, secure, and reliable Internet services to more Chester County residents.
The construction is expected to continue until the beginning of this year. When it's finished, residents will have access to Comcast Xfinity’s Internet products, including the Internet Essentials program for low-cost, high-speed broadband for households with limited income. For local businesses, Comcast Business provides various connectivity, communications, networking, cybersecurity, wireless, and managed solutions for organizations of different sizes.
This is Comcast's most recent expansion, as they've been extending their Xfinity 10G Network to over 315,000 extra homes and businesses in the state over the past few years.
Honey Brook, Elverson, Amity, Exeter, and St. Lawrence are some of the communities in Berks and Chester counties that have been part of Comcast's expansion.
Residents and businesses can go to Xfinity.com/MyTown/ and input their address for more information on construction timing and upcoming service availability. They can also visit one of the Xfinity stores in Wilmington, 5601 Concord Pike, or Exton, 106 Bartlett Ave., to check availability.
Since 2020, the company has contributed over $144 million in cash and in-kind to support organizations across Pennsylvania. They've also set up 190 Lift Zones in the state, which provide free Wi-Fi service to help community centers promote digital learning. Lift Zones are part of Project UP.
