Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Dumontet, has asked for a restraining order against her because he is worried she might ‘abduct’ their son, it has been said.
The couple got married in late 2019 and their wedding was filmed on the second season of Selling Sunset.
They later had their first child, Christian George, in 2021.
Last week, the businessman, also known as Christian Richard, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after a fight at their home in LA, during which their son was taken for treatment.
The 45-year-old is accused of throwing ‘a bag with glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury’.
Metro.co.uk understands that Quinn, 35, was given a week-long emergency protective order against her partner – who was later arrested for a second time in violation of the order when he appeared at their home.
Dumontet is now said to be seeking a restraining order against Quinn, asking for her to move out of their home and stay 100 yards away from the property.
In paperwork obtained by People Magazine, he reportedly denied accusations that he was violent and said that their argument was about the real estate agent’s dogs.
He said that she refuses to have two dogs trained, and that he is the only one cleaning up after the dogs, so much so that operating and cleaning the remote vacuum cleaner has become a bonding activity between himself and three-year-old Christian.
Regarding the incident on March 19, he alleged that Quinn refused to clean up after the dogs, leading to an argument.
‘At that point Mr Dumontet grabbed the trash bag from the floor and threw it to the side of the room, against the wall,’ the documents reportedly state.
‘Mr Dumontet did not throw the bag towards Ms Quinn, or their son. Additionally, there was no glass in the bag, as there was no broken glass in the room or anywhere in the house.’
The outlet reports that he also denied that there have ever been ‘incidents of domestic violence’ in the relationship, alleging that Quinn filed an emergency protection order using ‘false allegations of domestic violence’.
Dumontet wants to limit the Netflix star’s travel with their son to LA County, because he is concerned she might ‘abduct’ him.
He claimed that she ‘has a history of threatening to take away or hide our children from me’, and refusing to ‘co-operate’ with him in parenting.
Metro.co.uk understands that police went to their LA home on last Tuesday afternoon during a fight and took Dumontet into custody.
In pictures obtained by PageSix, he was seen in handcuffs and being escorted off the property by two police officers, while barefoot in a dressing gown.
The news outlet says that he was reportedly arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, and was kept in custody with a $30,000 bail.
He was then arrested a second time on Wednesday night for a minor offense, after he showed up at their family home in violation of the order.
The pair were introduced through mutual friends and publicly announced their engagement in 2019.
They got married in December of that year, after a quick romance, with their extravagant wedding day unfolding on Selling Sunset.
They then had their first child together in 2021, shortly before Quinn left the show for good.
