Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin stated that he won't visit the Pheu Thai headquarters this afternoon to see former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, as it is still working hours.
Thaksin is planning to go to the Pheu Thai HQ in Huai Kwang district, the party he established, for the first time since being released on parole last month. Thaksin’s youngest daughter Paetongtarn is now the party leader.
Despite this, Srettha had previously met Thaksin twice, at Thaksin’s Chan Song La residence and in Chiang Mai. Many ministers in Srettha’s government plan to welcome Thaksin, who is expected to arrive at 1.30pm.
Srettha told reporters that he can meet Thaksin outside of working hours.
Srettha stated that he will attend the football match between the Thai and South Korean national teams this evening, which starts at 7:30pm at Rajamangala National Stadium.
