A 12-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a teenage girl in Kent.
The police are asking for anyone who saw the attack on the schoolgirl in Sittingbourne around 4pm on Friday to come forward.
The South East Coast Ambulance was observed at the scene.
The victim is currently hospitalized in London, where she is being treated for wounds consistent with a stabbing.
Kent police have stated that she is in stable condition.
The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious harm with the intent to wound.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.
A representative from the Kent Police said, 'We are seeking witnesses to a serious assault on a teenager in Sittingbourne.'

‘Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service responded, and a teenage girl with stab-like injuries was taken to a London hospital. She is currently in stable condition in the hospital.
‘A 12-year-old boy has been detained on suspicion of intending to cause serious bodily harm and is currently in custody.
