After criticizing other famous people for their reactions to Kate Middleton’s cancer news, Piers Morgan has been called out for his own ‘hypocritical’ remarks.
The 58-year-old journalist slammed various US talk show hosts such as Andy Cohen, Stephen Colbert, and John Oliver for their dealing with the rumors about Kate’s location.
Celebrities like Blake Lively have apologized for their involvement in the 'Katespiricy' memes but Piers disapproves of the outpouring of support for the Princess of Wales.
Kate, 42, disclosed her cancer diagnosis and shared that she is undergoing chemotherapy as part of the treatment after weeks of speculation.
'People on here shouting “Leave Kate alone!” when they have spent the past few weeks spreading crazy conspiracy theories about her is beyond parody,' tweeted Piers.
Additionally, he added: 'Be quiet, you shameless hypocrites'.
However, he was quickly reminded by replies that he also did the same — as X user Mandy replied: 'It would help if you looked in the mirror, Piers.🪞
'You were pressing the issue… Where is Kate?'
'You were one of them,' added another follower as Shenna Moffat criticized him with a 'Pot kettle black!'
'You are the biggest hypocrite and you have no shame,' commented user Aramais, which received 1,800 likes.
Just last week, during an episode of Uncensored, Piers fanned flames with comments about ‘pretty alarming’ information given to him by insiders.
The former Good Morning Britain host said: 'I’ve been told some stuff that, if even half of it is true, it’s pretty alarming what is happening. I don’t know what to believe, nor do any of us – we’re not there.'
He also said that while Kate ‘could be fine and doing well’, the Palace had ‘got it wrong’ when it came to stopping any conspiracy theories.
Not content with that, he added that Kensington Palace ‘could be hiding something’, a sentiment he had expressed in his New York Post column previously.
Piers stated: 'But the conspiracy theories about Kate Middleton’s secret health crisis and absence from public life, worsened by the manipulated family photo she posted yesterday when combined with the unsettling confusion over what cancer King Charles is suffering from and how serious his condition is, have shown that the old palace way of dealing with the media has become increasingly outdated and unworkable.'

Before the cancer diagnosis was disclosed, the presenter even said that his sympathy would ‘erode’ for Kate if the Palace had misled the public.
‘I feel very sorry for Kate that she’s had to go through whatever health issue she’s had, which has kept her away from the public eye, and duty, for so long,’ he wrote.
‘But my sympathy will erode if it turns out that she and the palace have deliberately misled the media and public about when the photo was taken to convey a false impression about her condition.'
He has later complimented how the conspiracies were dealt with, saying that Kate's video was 'very effective and commendable'.
