Famous individuals from the realm of online content creation YouTube and Twitch have been incorporated as AI companions in Dragon's Dogma 2, and they are all downloadable for free.
Follow-up game Dragon's Dogma 2 is set to launch this Friday and continues Capcom's recent string of achievements, making them the top-rated publisher on Metacritic in 2023.
A key feature of the game is the ability to recruit pawns: AI-controlled allies who will travel with you on your journey and aid you in battles.
To promote the game's release, Capcom has revealed official pawns modeled after a variety of YouTubers, VTubers, and streamers.
Included in the extensive lineup of pawns are YouTubers FightinCowboy, Woolie Versus, Maximilian Dodd, Suzi Hunter, VTuber Snuffy, and Twitch streamers MissMikkaa and Asmongold.
Since you can enlist up to three pawns in your party, you can now surround yourself with a complete team of content creators.
The official pawns have certain differences compared to regular pawns: their name is shown in a different color, they do not require rift crystals if they are below level 10, their gear cannot be altered, and they do not appear in daily and overall rankings. Additionally, some are only accessible during specific periods.
There are currently 45 official pawns based on content creators, which are obtainable using Riftstones in the game. It is likely that more will be added after the game's release.
The character creator, where you can design your own pawns, is already offered as a free download. So if you prefer not to have a streamer on your team, you can create a different character of your own.
