Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ bought a 3,395-square-foot condo for $3.09 million in a newly built, 16-story luxury condo building in the West Loop in December.

Happ's three-bedroom condo is one of 58 in the building, and includes 3½ bathrooms, herringbone entry floors, arched doorways, high-end kitchen appliances, custom cabinetry by Bovelli Custom Millwork, bathroom fixtures from Lefroy Brooks, and a living room fireplace from South Side fireplace manufacturer Atelier Jouvence.
Nancy Tassone, the real estate agent who assisted Happ in his purchase, declined to provide a comment.
The unit also requires a $937 monthly homeowners association fee and an unspecified property tax bill.
Happ is one of the few current Cubs players to live in Chicago, while shortstop Dansby Swanson and his wife, Mallory Swanson, who plays for the Chicago Red Stars, paid $3.5 million last year to acquire a six-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot mansion in Lakeview from former Cubs President Theo Epstein and his wife, Marie.
