Pheu Thai party leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her executive board members visited Cambodia today, after being invited by Hun Sen, the former Cambodian prime minister.
The group took a private jet to Phnom Penh and were welcomed at the airport by Cambodia’s deputy premier Hun Many, who is Hun Sen’s youngest son. She met with the acting President of the Cambodian National Assembly, Cheam Yeap, and later with Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Manet, who is Hun Sen’s eldest son.
According to Paetongtarn, the two-day trip will focus on cooperation between Pheu Thai and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).
Hun Sen, the president of the CPP, invited Paetongtarn to visit Cambodia during his recent visit to her father, Thaksin Shinawatra, who was recently released on parole.
