John Kirby, a White House National Security Communications Adviser, stated that the United States has not yet received Israel's plan to move civilians out of Rafah despite signs of increased military actions.
During an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Kirby was asked if he anticipates receiving the plan prior to the start of the offensive.
Kirby responded, “We would certainly welcome the opportunity to review their plans before they enter Rafah. It's important to note they have not done so yet.
Bream then aired a clip of Senator Marco Rubio questioning the effectiveness of aid efforts.
In response to Rubio's comments, Kirby emphasized that Hamas is not the sole group involved in distributing aid in the area.
“Well, in all fairness and with respect to the senator, Hamas isn’t the only group distributing aid. There are many aid organizations on the ground that — that are helping with the distribution of food, water, medicine,” he said.
Bream pressed Kirby further regarding the involvement of U.S. troops and preventing Hamas from taking control of aid.
“We have been closely monitoring this and have not seen evidence of Hamas misappropriating a significant amount of humanitarian assistance in a malicious manner. There are other organizations responsible for this,” Kirby stated.
Last week, Israel announced its intention to move Palestinians out of Rafah towards “humanitarian islands” in the middle of the region before the offensive begins.
