Armed police quickly responded when a man drove his car into the gates of Buckingham Palace in the early morning hours.
Police have confirmed that they arrested a man, and dramatic video shows officers shouting ‘Keep your hands on your head!’.
The Met Police stated: ‘At around 02:33hrs on Saturday, 09 March, a car hit the gates of Buckingham Palace.
‘Armed officers arrested a man at the location on suspicion of criminal damage. He was taken to the hospital.
‘There were no reports of injuries. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances.’
