A self-proclaimed 'psychic healer' who was fined after claiming he could cure cancer is charging £900 for Scots to come see him.
Jerry Sargeant, who is hosting a seminar called Star Magic Healing, has been accused of endangering sick and vulnerable people.
He said he discovered the ability to heal after encountering aliens in a car accident.
Now he is charging Edinburgh residents £900 to address their 'trauma and disease'.
This includes 'group healing' sessions, offering a six-hour workshop for £888 or two for the same price.
Videos of his past seminars show Sargeant placing his hands on people's heads as they shake and convulse.
Professor Edzard Ernst, the UK's first professor of alternative medicine, cautioned those with serious illnesses to steer clear of 'healers'.
He said: 'As the quality of our NHS services deteriorates, more desperate patients might consider turning to healing or other forms of quackery.
'The concern is that seriously ill patients might believe the healer's claims and give up or take less seriously the effective therapies for their condition.'
Sargeant was instructed to pay £4747.25 in 2017 after concerns were raised about claims on his website that he could cure cancer.
His UK company was dissolved the same year, but he has continued to offer healing sessions in the US and online.
Other services include 'DNA upgrades that alter karmic blueprint' and the use of 'quantum physics to release blocks' that are preventing clients from living 'extraordinary lives'.
Even though the website now has a disclaimer, multiple testimonials include assertions that Sargeant has helped cure life-threatening conditions.
