His publicist stated on Sunday that Steve Buscemi was attacked in Mid-Town Manhattan as a result of a random act of violence in the city. His publicist added, “He is okay and appreciates everyone’s well wishes.”
The 66-year-old star of “Boardwalk Empire” and “Fargo” experienced bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye, and was taken to a hospital.
The New York Police Department reported no arrests in the case, and the investigation was ongoing.
