LANSDALE >> Every year, on the second Saturday in May, postal workers gather non-perishable food items to help local food pantries across the country.
The National Association of Letter Carriers organizes this food drive known as Stamp Out Hunger. It is the largest one-day food drive in the nation and one of the biggest local drives to support Manna on Main Street.
A press release for Stamp Out Hunger emphasizes the urgent need due to rising demand for food at Manna. The organization relies on the community's support.
This year’s Stamp Out Hunger takes place on Saturday, May 11. Place non-perishable food donations near your mailbox on that day, and your letter carrier will handle the rest.
