Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) attempted to initiate a vote to remove Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Wednesday, a significant action that will probably not be successful due to resistance from conservative Republicans and Democrats.
A month after submitting her motion to remove Johnson, Greene forced GOP leadership to address the issue within two legislative days by calling her resolution to the floor as privileged on Wednesday.
