The government spokesman, Chai Wacharonke, acknowledged today that he was asked to take on a different political position, but he declined to share the specifics.
He also rejected the widespread rumors about Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin planning to dismiss him from his current role, asserting that they have never discussed this matter with him.
“It is true that someone approached me about considering a different political position. I can't reveal the details, but I acknowledge that a proposal was made,” the spokesman stated, refusing to disclose the identity of the person who approached him.
He emphasized that he still holds the position of government spokesman, as demonstrated by his daily presence at work.
