Northvolt AB , stated that company employees found bombs placed under machinery with the clear intent to harm workers over the weekend.He mentioned that the triggering devices did not function, and the company has contacted the police.
Cerruti, who also serves as the chief executive of Northvolt North America, is set to speak to reporters about the discovery later today.
Northvolt AB announced its plans to open a $7-billion factory for electric vehicle batteries near Montreal by the end of 2026, on a site that spans two communities about 30 kilometers east of Montreal — McMasterville and Saint-Basile-le-Grand.
