Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stated that he is not upset that almost all of his family members have endorsed President Biden over him for the upcoming election.
“Some of them don’t like the fact that I’m running,” Kennedy mentioned at a Detroit campaign event on Sunday, as reported by The Associated Press reported.
He also stated, “I argued with them using information and passion without promoting hate towards each other due to our disagreements. I love my family no matter what.”
The Biden campaign has received support from almost the entire Kennedy family and used it in an ad campaign against Kennedy, portraying him as a threat to Democrats as his actions could assist former President Trump's return to the White House.
“I love my family. I feel that they love me,” Kennedy expressed on Sunday. “And I wish the same thing would happen for all of our country, where we disagree with each other without hating on each other.”
Kennedy has gained access to the ballot in several swing states, including Michigan, causing concerns among Democrats that he could spoil the election for them and help those states go to Trump.
Kennedy is far behind Biden and Trump in polls. In three-way polls, Kennedy has about 7 percent support compared to Biden’s 41 percent and Trump’s 42 percent, as per the Decision Desk HQ average.
