After a woman was allegedly pushed onto the train tracks, a man has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
Following the incident at Hyndland Station in Glasgow around 6.30pm on Saturday, the woman who was reportedly the victim was quickly taken to the hospital.
‘Officers were called to Hyndland station at approximately 6.30pm today following reports of a man pushing a woman onto the tracks,
‘A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The victim was taken to hospital as a precaution but, fortunately, is not believed to have been seriously injured.’
Authorities are asking for people who saw the incident to come forward.
Emergency services attending the scene led to the cancellation, delay, or revision of trains at the station, according to ScotRail bosses.
The railway in both directions at Hyndland is now open again, as confirmed by a Network Rail spokesperson.
The integrated control team is working hard to restore Scotrail’s trains and crews to their normal positions in order to resume normal train operations as soon as possible.
