Dancehall star Elephant Man claims he has fathered 38 children.
The musician – real name Oniel Bryan – is believed to be in his late forties and around 47 years old.
He previously stated he had 20 kids in 2019, but it seems he has significantly increased the size of his brood by having another 18 in the five years since.
The Jamaican musician – who was formerly part of the dancehall group Scare Dem Crew before starting his solo career – first became a father at 17.
Elephant Man, also known as the ‘Energy Gad’, revealed this information in an Instagram Live with his fans last week, as per Dancehall Mag.
‘I have 38 children; started when I was 17,’ the All Out hitmaker shared about his parenting situation.
‘I might not be attractive, but the ladies like my bow legs,’ he joked, adding: ‘I was a member who climbed and jumped off certain things, and the ladies liked that.’
He also mentioned that growing up ‘young and idle’ in Seaview Gardens, Kingston, had contributed to his extensive number of kids – and he wouldn’t rule out having more.
When DJ Noah Powa asked if he wanted more, Elephant Man responded: ‘What do you mean? Then if it happens, it’s not a problem. What are you talking about?’
The reggae star also hinted at how he could have ended up with nearly 40 children, openly stating he doesn’t use birth control, such as condoms.
‘You don’t have sex with your woman using a condom. Have you ever gone to your woman’s house using a condom? You’re in trouble,’ he claimed during the same Live.
Elephant Man also suggested his diet and natural remedies had allowed him to have such virility, which he called ‘fit back’.
The Pon De River, Pon De Bank singer has previously dismissed claims that he’s an absent father, due to the large number of kids he has, as well as difficult relationships with some of their mothers.
‘We’ve been through it. When you’re a young person coming from nothing to something, people are going to talk, but at the end of the day, don’t let a rumor become true,’ he told Jamaican publication The Gleaner in 2019.
‘I take care of my kids, but sometimes you and the mother have a dispute, and you know how that goes.’
In the same interview, he also addressed rumors that he had AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) from past unprotected sexual encounters.
‘I was doing well, and then they said Ele has AIDS. I said, where did that come from? I’m not dead, I’m here. That’s how people are.’
Emphasizing his strong health, he added: ‘I stay strong because the strongest will survive, and God doesn’t want any weakness in his camp.’
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that harms the cells in your immune system and reduces your ability to fight everyday infections and disease.
It can spread from one person to another through semen, vaginal and anal fluids, blood and breast milk, and the most common way to get HIV in the UK is by having sex without a condom, according to the NHS.
If HIV is not treated, it can result in AIDS, which is the term used to describe a variety of potentially life-threatening infections and illnesses that occur when your immune system has been greatly harmed by the HIV virus.
