EastEnders star Clair Norris felt thankful after she attracted a role on the soap three years before joining.
The actress, best known for her role as Bernie Taylor since 2017, posted a picture of her wishing for a role on the popular soap in 2014.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, she wrote: ‘Who’d have thought that 3 years later I’d be cast as Bernadette Taylor.’
She added: ‘Still saying the same thing 10 years on. Everyone has been incredible last couple of weeks.’
In February this year her on-screen mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) returned demanding answers, though later jetted back off to Spain.
Viewers of the BBC soap have also watched with concern as Bernie has struggled to afford to pay energy bills and buy food since her family have left – which was quite the contrast from Clair who recently purchased her own plush pad with boyfriend Lewis Wood.
On her X/Twitter and Instagram accounts, Clair shared that they moved into their new home.
She also shared pictures of a pair of cute customised keyrings baring the couples names, their house number and date they moved in.
Harriet Thorpe and James Bye, better known as Elaine Peacock and Martin Fowler, both wrote ‘Congratulations’, whilst Navin Chowdhry, who plays dastardly Nish Panesar, shared a series of heart emojis and a champagne bottle emoji.
Bernie was left devastated in recent EastEnders scenes when she finally found out that brother Keanu was the body beneath the cafe.
Keanu was stabbed to death by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on Christmas Day, and was helped by the rest of The Six to bury the body.
In more recent scenes, the cafe floor collapsed and poor Bernie was the one to find the body.
