The 2024 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be revealed on the April 21 episode of “American Idol,” which airs at 8 p.m. on ABC.
This year’s candidates for induction include Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest.
“This impressive list of candidates represents the varied artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame respects and celebrates,” stated John Sykes, who serves as the chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Remaining true to the essence of Rock & Roll, these artists have crafted their own unique sounds that have influenced generations and inspired numerous others who have followed in their footsteps.”
