A beautician fell 170ft to her death while taking a selfie on a cliffside viewing platform.
Inessa Polenko, 39, climbed over a barrier then stumbled, falling onto a beach below om Abkhazia, Georgia.
Paramedics were quickly at the scene but she died in hospital after plunging from the Gagry viewing point in scenic Abkhazia, a breakaway region of Georgia now under Russia’s sway.
The viewing point overlooks the Black Sea.
A keen Instagram user with 9,000 followers, the Russian woman regularly shared selfies from around the world.
Previously she had posted pictures from Dubai, Egypt and Russian-occupied Crimea, legally part of Ukraine.
The popular beautician had clients mainly in Moscow and major Russian resort Sochi, where she lived.
Her funeral was scheduled for today in Sochi.
An investigation is underway in the breakaway region into the circumstances of her death.
