EastEnders actor James Bye celebrated his first wedding anniversary with his wife Victoria, even though she forgot about it.
The Martin Fowler actor, 40, went to St Lucia with Victoria in 2022 to celebrate their first anniversary after being married for 10 years.
On the joint family Instagram account, they shared a series of photos of themselves over the years.
Victoria wrote: ‘I may or may not have, accidentally, forgotten our anniversary – again. (Did I mention again?) 🤦🏼♀️ Yeah, this isn’t the first time this has happened…'
‘So, there we were happy as Larry in our first year together when James wakes me up all excited. “Happy First anniversary Mrs Bye” he beamed, hovering a cup of tea and croissants over the bed.’
She added: ‘As I smiled and praised his gifts (all very thoughtful for our ‘paper’ anniversary.) Like – seriously the man put some proper effort in. Oh, we’re talking a wreath weaved with paper flowers complete with handwritten note tied jauntily on. ‘Paper’ tickets to see Swan Lake (something I’d always quite fancied) Flowers, bespoke card – the works.
And I just sat there, smile plastered across my face, cold sweat on the back of my neck, stalling for time. 😬'
“You forgot didn’t you?” He asked trying not to smile as I hung my head in shame at being such a crappy wife.
“I’ll go to the BP garage right now and get you some chocolates.” I declared, ever the romantic as he continued to laugh.
She ended the lengthy post: ‘So this year, as he woke me up with a kiss and my card, laughing at the horror on my face, he reminded me.
“Don’t worry, it’s my year. And I’ve got a surprise for you later…”'
As I said, he’s a keeper… 🥰'
Happy Anniversary Mr B.
The pair revealed last January that they were expecting their fourth baby, confirming in March that the newest addition to their family is a boy.
‘‘It’s official… The worst kept secret ever is out!’ Victoria revealed to her 77 thousand followers.
‘It’s a BOY! And truly… all 5 of us are over the moon…’
James and Victoria, who have been married since 2012, are also parents to Edward, eight, Louis, six, and Hugo, three.
