Coronation Street’s Kate Ford has made a public statement after Tracy Barlow’s surprising departure.
Recent scenes on the ITV soap showed Tracy leaving Weatherfield for Spain with new boyfriend Tommy Orpington, who moved for a new job as a football coach.
Tracy and Tommy started a secretive relationship earlier this year, with Tracy eventually choosing to leave husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) for the decorator.
Steve was completely devastated and had hoped to win back his wife, but without success.

When Steve found a letter from Tommy to Tracy asking her to move to Spain with him, he burned the letter, leaving Tracy furious when she eventually discovered it.
After bidding farewell to the cobbles to start a new life with Tommy, fans are left wondering if this is the last time we’ll see the iconic character.
On Kate’s social media, she posted a selfie of herself in the rain this week, and a comment from Abi Webster actress Sally Carman has caught the attention of fans.
‘I miss your face!’ She wrote, along with some yellow heart emojis, which suggests that maybe Kate hasn’t been on set at Corrie recently.
In the most recent update, Kate shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of a train with the destination ‘Orpington’ on the front.
Orpington is a place in south east London, a subtle reference to the end of Tracy’s storyline and the beloved character starting a life with Steve’s former football hero Tommy Orpington.
Oh how quickly things can change!
‘He seems to have accepted she’s had a romantic relationship, well on the outside at least, but he’s absolutely devastated at how Tommy could do this to him,’ actor Simon Gregson told us.
‘He understands why Tracy is attracted to Tommy but he’s just so upset that his idol has treated him this way. I think there’s so much happening at once that he’s not fully processed it yet; his wife has had a romantic relationship, in his bed, with the guy who was decorating his house, who also happened to be his favorite footballer. It’s all a bit too much for Steve.’
